Stunning Trifari Brooch by Alfred Philippe from 1956 the oriental "Bagdad" collection inspired by Moghul jewelry designs. The brooch is in a form of a gold-plated paisley leaf embalished with faux pearls, clear rhinestones, and tricolor glass cabochons: emerald green, ruby red, sapphire blue. The style and colouring of the brooch might mislead you in attributing it to Trifari's "Jewels of India" collection which was presented to the public a little bit later.
The pin is signed on the back: 'Trifari' with a crown above the letter 'T', missing copyright symbol indicates the year of production as 1955 (the collection was presented in 1956).
Condition
Excellent vintage condition: no tarnish, all crystals and cabochons are in place, no scratches on the faux pearls. Please examine the photos closely as they are a part of the description.
