This antique German Jugendstil pendant is a graceful example of early 1900s Art Nouveau jewelry. Crafted in silver with a soft yellow enamel background, the design features a flowing silhouette of a young girl with finely rendered hair. The organic lines and nature-inspired aesthetic are characteristic of the Jugendstil movement, reflecting its emphasis on elegance and craftsmanship.
The piece is stamped “Ges Gesch” (an abbreviation of Gesetzlich Geschützt, the German equivalent of a trademark). Although no silver hallmark is present, it has been acid-tested positive for silver.
